If you are one of the impatient users of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab P1000 and want to use the Jelly Bean OS on it, today we will tell you how to perform the update process. The Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 still works with the older version of Android called 2.3 Gingerbread. And of course owners of this model want the newer version. From what it looks like, this tablet is not going to receive an upgrade to Jelly Bean in this lifetime. So that’s why we are offering you the possibility to get that new version in some very easy steps.
To install ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) for Galaxy Tab P1000, follow these instructions: 1- Reboot your device in download mode (power button + volume down rocker)2- Open Odin. If you do not have it on your PC, get it from galaxy tab plus official firmware post (see the bottom of the post). 3- Download Skin1980_P1010_CWM-RECOVERY-BETA-1.tar from []. I have tried to install CWM Recovery in my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 using method 2,but it doesn’t work.My phone always boot into normal mode after installing CWM Recovery. When i boot into recovery,it didn’t acces into recovery but in Android 3e.
And what is the best way to do that, other than something made by developers? More precisely, via custom ROMs.
The name of the one that makes it possible to update the OS to the newest Android operating system on the Galaxy Tab P1000 is called CyanogenMod 10 ROM. Which, unfortunately, isn’t an official way to grab a hold on this OS version.
So take it with a grain of salt. And make sure to install this on the Galaxy Tab P1000. Because it was made only for this model and not another one. If something goes wrong because you installed it on another gadget or did not follow our steps, it will be your fault. So once again: install the CyanogenMod 10 ROM on the tablet and read every instruction several times. Requirements For the process to go smoothly, you will need to check and see if this tablet has ClockworkMod Recovery installed. If it does, the next step is to download CyanogenMod 10 nightly ROM (cm-3-UNOFFICIAL-p1-erezak.zip) and Jelly Bean GApps (called also Google Apps and available ) Pack (gapps-jb-20120726- signed.zip).
Then make sure that your personal data is backed up to avoid having it erased for ever if something goes wrong. Important instructions Here are the instructions you need to follow closely. Read them carefully and do exactly what they say. First copy the CyanogenMod 10 nightly ROM and GApps package to the internal memory (choose the SD card option). Then turn the device off before performing the next steps.
Reboot the Galaxy Tab P1000 into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode (which is very easy to perform: press and hold the Volume Up and the Power keys until Recovery boots). A backup of the current ROM is a good idea if you won’t want to see everything fall to the ground. Go to the main recovery menu, opt for the Backup data / Restore option. Then select Backup on the screen that will appear.
Recovery will then work on backing up the ROM. sc name=”banner-jos”After that is over, you need to return to the main menu and do a full wipe. This is possible by following these steps: select Factory reset/Wipe data infoand choose that option at the next step, select the data wipe to cache the entire partition and choose that option at the next step, go back to the main menu and select Advanced. Finally, you will have to opt for the Wipe Dalvikoption for caching and afterwards confirm what you just did in the previous step. Returning to the instructions: go back. Then choose the ZIP file which exists on the SD card.
You will then have to findthe CyanogenMod 10 nightly ROM ZIP file. All you need to do then is to choose that option at the next step to flash the ROM to the gadget. The following step is this: return to the main menu and flash the GApps package by returning to the main menu and select the installation from the ZIP file. After that you must locate the CyanogenMod 10 nightly ROM ZIP file. The final step: go back to the main menu and opt for the restart of the entire system. At the end of the update process, you are ready to discover the goodies stashed away in the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.
You may or may not have problems with the camera.
